Pg.i830
Is there a newer "test" Pg.i830?
I have the SIEMENS PC 647C running with Pg.flatdc but now I need to support different not VESA standard screens
(1680x1050). This resolution is not doable with VESA mode switcher and therefore I want to test the Pg.i830.

The graphic chip is an Intel mobile (less power for industrial environment) and the device id is 0x46.
If I add the 0x46 to the Pg.i830 in crttrap.list there are of course entries in the crt.$NODE but none of the Pg.i830
entries is working :(

Best regards, Klaus

Hi Klaus,

The 0x8086:0x0046 is supported by the devg-intelhd.so driver in the QNX6.
Unfortunately, this driver isn't back-ported to the QNX4.

Are you sure that 1680x1050 mode isn't supported by VESA. Is this mode present
in the output of the following command?

# /qnx4/graphics/bin/show_vesa

You can try to upgrade BIOS firmware on the SIEMENS PC 647C and when try the
show_vesa again.

Re: Pg.i830
Thanks Oleg,

but I tried it already with Linux and "hwinfo --framebuffer" and there is only 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and lower resolution
 offered.
The BIOS update I will ask SIEMENS.
Actually I'm trying to use the Hydra.ms as Modeswitcher and the Pg.i830 as driver.
The graphic is coming up. but I can only use the offered VESA resolutions.

Is there a possibility for a backport of the QNX6 driver?

Best regards,
Klaus
Re: Pg.i830
Hi Klaus,

Yes, backporting of the intelhd driver is possible, but, as far as I know,
there isn't timeframe for this work.

Re: Pg.i830
Hi Oleg,

I will ask the product manager who asked for the dedicated resolution about the money he will pay. To whom I have to
make contact ? QNX-SoftwareSystems?

Regards,
Klaus
Re: Pg.i830
Klaus,

Yes, please, contact your QNX sales team. I think that this driver will be
ported to the QNX4 sooner or later. But, I guess, custom engineering should
reduce a release timeframe.
