Forum Topic - Integrated Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller: (6 Items)

Integrated Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller
Hi:

I am using a an HPZ400 computer with QNX Product Suite 2009 which has an
onboard Network card . It is a Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller.

Nettrap does not find any driver to use.
I noticed a Net.bcm57xx driver and tried that as well starting it up manually after running Net &

ie. Net.bcm57xx &

 but it did not work.

Should it have and if not supported will this be supported in the future ?

- Regards,

Kevin
Re: Integrated Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller
Hi Kevin,

The Broadcom 5764 is not present in driver support list. Try to start
driver with specified PCI device ID:

# Net.bcm57xx -d 0x1684 &

I guess that 0x1684 is a PCI device ID of the Broadcom 5764, but better
check it with show_pci. Does driver work in this case?

Re: Integrated Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller
Hi Oleg:

I did a show_pci and got the Device ID which was as you had guessed ( 0x1684)
 I tried the line Net.bcm57xx -d 0x1684 &
but it also did not work.

I also tried the Vendor Id as well as the device ID.

  - Any other suggestions ?

 - Thanks,
          Kevin
Re: Integrated Broadcom 5764 PCIe LOM controller
Hi Kevin,

It seems that the Broadcom 5764 is not supported in the QNX4.

Kevin,

It isn't in our nearest plan.
