We are trying to run a virtualization of our process controlview product running under QNX 4 Product Suite 2009. However we have not had success on VMware virtual machines due to the lack of a VESA graphic driver for QNX4 QWindows. Due to the fact that there is a QNX4 Photon driver for VESA are there any plans to port the VESA driver to QWindows?
We have no current plans to update QNX Windows drivers - yoru best option is to contact your QNX sales rep to discuss custom enginerring. -Martin.
Hi Martin: Thanks for your response. We would be interested in a quote to back port the Photon version of the VESA graphics driver to QNX Windows. We need this for our virtualization of our process control product running under QNX Product Suite 2009 and QNX Windows 2.30. We are using VMWare for virtualization. I'm not sure who our QNX sales rep is . I have cc'd George Logaras and a couple of old QNX contacts however if there is someone you could direct us to it would be appreciated. - Best Regards, Kevin Martin Walter <community-noreply@qnx.com> 06/07/2010 11:06 AM Please respond to post56159@community.qnx.com To general-qnx4 <post56159@community.qnx.com> cc Subject Re: VESA Driver We have no current plans to update QNX Windows drivers - yoru best option is to contact your QNX sales rep to discuss custom enginerring. -Martin. _______________________________________________ General http://community.qnx.com/sf/go/post56159

We tried running the gr.vesa2 driver under QNX Windows 4.24 but it did not work. We have attached the error message we get and a sin ver output.
Hi Kevin, I can't see any attached files. Please reattach them. -- Respectfully, Oleg > We tried running the gr.vesa2 driver under QNX Windows 4.24 but it did > not work. Sorry Oleg. Here are the attached files.
Oleg here is thye other file regarding the vesa error message we get.
Hi Kevin, I don't have any graphics controllers which are supported by the int10 driver. So I can't test gr.vesa2 + int10. With unsupported controllers I have got the same error message. -- Respectfully, Oleg > Oleg here is thye other file regarding the vesa error message we get. > > > > _______________________________________________ > > General > http://community.qnx.com/sf/go/post57967
