Intel 945GME graphics support   
Hi,

  I have problems getting any QNX Windows graphics driver working with the Intel 945GME chipset (pci vendor 0x8086, 
device 0x27ae) in a computer we are evaluating. Even the standard gr.vga fails when attempting to switch to graphics 
mode - that one usually works at 640x480 at least.
  For gr.vga in verbose mode, I get the following error messages:
  ...
  Requested Video Mode 1 by 71
  Send to Int10 or SetMode failed
  Send to Int10 or SetMode failed
  Send to Int10 or SetMode failed
  Reply with error: 5
  ...

  For gr.phi with Pg.i830, I just get a blank screen.

  Any idea what could be the problem? I have attached output from show_pci.

I do not know what the problem is, other than stating the obvious - your card is not supported by the available drivers.


As far as what you can do about it... 
We have no plans currently for a QNX Windows drivers update -  your only option is to contact your QNX sales team and 
discuss custom engineeirng.

Fair enough. It turned out to be an issue with the specific BIOS version used on that computer, an upgrade to a newer 
version resolved the problem.
