How do projects work in Lab Management?

Lab Management projects must be TeamForge or CEE projects but TeamForge or CEE projects are not automatically added to Lab Management. Until the CEE or TeamForge project is specifically added to Lab Management by a Domain Administrator inside of Lab Management, the project does not exist.

Deleted or locked projects

If a TeamForge project is deleted, the corresponding Lab Management project is not immediately deleted. Similarly, if a CEE project is deleted or locked, the corresponding Lab Management project is not immediately locked or deleted. This built-in safeguard gives the Domain Administrator the opportunity to re-allocate hosts or retrieve needed data from these project machines.

As a Lab Management Domain Administrator, you can delete the project from Lab Management at your leisure. Note that Lab Management does not allow you to delete a project that currently has hosts assigned to it. You must delete or reassign those hosts before deleting the project.

Re-enabling projects after they have been locked

Lab Management projects, like users, retain their identity in the system so that a Domain Administrator can delete them from Lab Management and undelete them later, if desired.
